Job Fair Information for Job Seekers
Each spring in April, Illinois Valley Community College’s office of Career Services sponsors the Annual Spring Job Fair.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to meet potential employers and learn about their company’s opportunities, complete application forms, build a network of contacts and gather information for future job searches. Whether seeking a first interview or exploring new career opportunities, attending the Job Fair provides the chance to make a great first impression.
Job seekers DO NOT need to pre-register. This event is open to the public and is free to attend. All candidates should dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes to distribute to employers.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make an "all out" effort to meet with every employer that has the potential to hire you - now or after graduation. In order to make that happen you will need to be prepared. Preparation is the key to making a successful presentation at any job or career fair:
- Prior to the Event (PREPARE!)
- Day of the Event (PERFORM!)
- After the Event (PERSIST!)
