GED Test Eligibility Requirements

Visit Illinois Community College Board website for GED testing eligibility requirements.
The official GED tests to obtain a High School Equivalency certificate are given at an official test center of the county in which applicants reside. Our district's testing site is the IVCC Assessment Center
Prior to the test date, students must register for the test by visiting https://ged.com.
Passing all parts of the GED® Test along with completion or submission of a Constitution Test will earn testers a High School Equivalency (HSE) certificate.

Constitution Test Requirement

In addition to the HSE/GED subtests, Illinois residents are required to pass an examination on American patriotism and the principles of representative government as enunciated in the American Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America, and the Constitution of the State of Illinois, as well as on the proper use and display of the American Flag as provided by Section 27-3 of The School Code of Illinois.
