Purpose:

  • Provide leadership to ensure the highest quality of instructional programs
  • Create and sustain an environment that enhances teaching and learning
  • Continually improve student learning and performance
  • Provide leadership and management to institutional accreditation and planning processes

Academic Affairs is the central administrative office with responsibility for curriculum and academic policy development, implementation and evaluation. This includes:

  • career and technical programs and transfer programs
  • continuing education
  • adult education
  • developmental/remedial education
  • instructional technology
  • academic fiscal management
  • evaluation of academic programs
  • faculty development
  • assessment of student learning.
