DR. ALFRED E. WISGOSKI AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION CENTER FLOOR PLAN
This floor plan illustrates the layout and design of a 10,250-square-foot facility tailored for students and equipped to meet the demands of modern agricultural education and technology.

Building Northeast View
The Dr. Alfred E. Wisgoski Agricultural Education Center features a spacious lobby,
                                 an innovation lab, a combined classroom and conference room, a laboratory, a student
                                 lounge, faculty offices, a kitchenette, and designated space for future expansion.
                              
                           
Building North View
The space is dedicated entirely to agriculture, opening the door to hosting more community-based
                                 programs such as local 4-H and FFA chapters, as well as agricultural industries.
                              
                           
Building Southeast View
The new building will attract more students to IVCC, demonstrating the college’s commitment
                                 to investing in their education. In turn, this growth benefits our local agricultural
                                 industries by helping IVCC cultivate the next generation of skilled workers.
                              
                           
Building Southwest View
The Dr. Alfred E. Wisgoski IVCC Agricultural Education Center demonstrates to both
                                 the community and students that IVCC is keeping pace with, and potentially surpassing,
                                 other educational institutions in agriculture education.
                              
                           
Classroom
The classroom/conference room provides students with a space to collaborate, work
                                 together, and study on campus—an important factor in keeping them engaged and connected
                                 to campus life. The collaborative space will provide access to classroom technology
                                 as well as a designated quiet area for studying and group work.
                              
                           
Conference Room Closed
The classroom/conference room provides the ag program with a space to host conferences
                                 on campus, accommodating both local groups and external organizations.

The classroom/conference room features a movable partition that can be opened to accommodate
                                 larger groups.
                              
                           
Innovation Lab Outside
As students approach the Innovation Lab, they’re greeted by large, rustic barn doors
                                 that slide open smoothly, inviting them into a space buzzing with creativity and invention.
                                 The warm, wooden texture of the doors contrasts with the sleek, modern interior beyond,
                                 symbolizing a bridge between tradition and innovation. These iconic doors set the
                                 tone for the lab — a welcoming gateway to hands-on exploration, collaboration, and
                                 discovery.
                              
                           
Innovation Lab Inside
Once inside the Innovation Lab, students have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge
                                 technology and engage in immersive virtual learning experiences that foster creativity
                                 and hands-on problem solving.
                              
                           
Lab Space
The lab space combines a traditional setup—with microscopes and worktables—with cutting-edge
                                 agricultural equipment and the latest methodologies used in the industry.

The design thoughtfully integrates IVCC’s distinctive branding colors throughout the
                                 space, creating a cohesive and recognizable environment that reflects the college’s

Complementing this, the architecture draws inspiration from natural and agricultural
                                 elements, evident in features such as the wood-paneled ceilings in the lobby. These
                                 warm, organic materials not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also evoke a connection
                                 to the region’s agricultural heritage, fostering a welcoming and grounded atmosphere
                                 for students, staff, and visitors alike.
                              
                           
Student Lounge
The new Dr. Alfred E. Wisgoski Agricultural Education Center was designed to provide
                                 students with a space to stay on campus, study, eat a snack or lunch, and connect
                                 with fellow agriculture students.
                              
                           
Courtyard
The courtyard provides agricultural students with an additional space to study or
                                 collaborate outdoors. Equipped with tables, the area offers a comfortable environment
                                 for group work or quiet study. These tables also give students a “front row” view
                                 of the research plots located just behind the Dr. Alfred E. Wisgoski Agricultural
                                 Education Center, offering a direct connection between their learning space and hands-on
