2023-2024 Women's Basketball Season Update

Illinois Valley Community College has cancelled the 2023-2024 Women’s Basketball season informing the NJCCA Region IV Representatives, the Arrowhead Conference Representatives and all scheduled opponents of this decision.

The decision to cancel IVCC’s women’s basketball season was necessitated by the resignation of the women’s basketball coach in late May. The timing of the coach’s resignation left the college with the inability to fill the roster for the season. The current Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach, Brittney Moriarity has been retained and will immediately begin recruiting for the 2024-2025 school year. The open position for IVCC’s head women’s basketball coach will be posted in November of 2023, interviews are anticipated in December with the goal of hiring a head coach in January 2024. The newly hired head basketball coach will continue the student recruitment responsibilities.

IVCC will honor the tuition waivers for the few student athletes signed for the current season.
