Explore IVCC open house to feature additional info sessions

Prospective students can Explore IVCC, tour the campus, and learn more about the College’s programs and resources at the spring open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31.

Explore IVCC begins in the Dr. Mary Margaret Weeg Cultural Centre, where a student panel will share their insights about college life. From that session, families will visit a resource fair and meet program coordinators, faculty, and student services representatives who can answer questions about majors and services. Campus tours will be available throughout the evening, starting near the Application Station booth.

“This is a great opportunity to explore our academic programs, meet our dedicated faculty and staff, and experience firsthand the supportive environment that makes IVCC a great start for your higher education journey,” said Tom Quigley, director of Enrollment Services.

Two separate breakout sessions will also be presented that evening by the Dual Credit and Enrollment Office at 5 p.m. and the Center for Accessibility and Neurodiversity (CAN) at 6:30 p.m.

In the Cultural Centre prior to the Explore IVCC student panel, dual credit program representatives will discuss the importance of the program, review college credit options and enrollment and payment information for area high school students, and offer guidance and expectations for college coursework.

CAN’s Steps for Success will meet at 6:30 p.m. in room E214 to review how the college routine and expectations differ from high school and the next steps and support services for incoming students who have learning differences or disabilities.
