Disc Golf - Let’s Disc-us!

The IVCC disc golf club is planning a fun Disc Golf competition to celebrate the College’s 100th birthday! Are you in?!

Here are the rules:

  1. Stop by Wes Black’s office, E-303, to buy one of 50 custom anniversary collector’s edition discs (for $10) and pick up a scorecard. Only 50 discs are available, so get yours early! Email Wes_Black@ivcc.edu to reserve one. Most of the proceeds will go back into prizes!
  2. Take the collector's disc to the IVCC disc golf course between April 19-May 3. Write your name on your disc and please play in groups. Use only that disc to drive, upshot, and putt. Start on hole 1 and finish as many holes as possible in 100 throws. Keep track of the number of holes finished and the number of throws on the scorecard. Stop on the 100thshot no matter what hole you are on.
  3. Family and friends are welcome to play as well but they must purchase a collector’s disc and keep track of holes played and shots taken on your scorecard. If you finish the 18-hole course, just start back over at hole 1. How many holes did you finish?
  4. If you don’t finish the 100 throws in one outing, finish the current hole, record your totals, and return another day to the next hole when you have time to finish. T
  5. Turn your scorecards into Wes Black. Prizes will be awarded to: the top 3 golfers (including family and friends) that complete the most holes, the top 3 employees that complete the most holes, golfers with the most creative photo shot submitted to Wes_Black@ivcc.edu, and some other random-draw participants.
  6. Yes, take photos of your experience and share them with us!
