IVCC Annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Writing Contest

1st place - $100 | 2nd place - $75 | 3rd place - $50

Illinois Valley Community College’s President’s Office, in support of the College’s DEI Committee, is sponsoring the annual Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Writing Contest. The annual contest invites all IVCC students to submit written entries in any format (essay, poetry, short story, etc.) that address or share the student’s experience with any aspect of diversity, equity and inclusion. Submissions that articulate the peaceful messages of Mahatma Ghandi and/or Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. may also be considered for a state-wide contest.

Entries are evaluated on insight into diversity, equity and inclusion and technical skill. Submissions may be made in any writing style in an attachment to Tracy_Morris@ivcc.edu by Friday, February 23^rd and winners will be announced in March. Please include your name and phone number with the submission. Questions may be directed to the President’s Office in C-300.
