A highly skilled trade that involves the use of manual machine tools to produce complex parts and tools from a multiple of materials.  Workers also repair, modify, and rework tools, parts, and machines.

Multiple Program Options

Students have the option of earning multiple certificates and/or an Associate in Applied Science degree.  IVCC has partnerships in place with colleges and universsities for students wanting to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in the field, for example, Southern Illinois University with our 2+2 program or Northern Illinois University with our 3+1 program.

Hands On Training

We offer a state of the art facility with many styles of machine tools and up to date measuring systems.  All instructors have multiple years of academic and hands on industry experience.

Affordability
