IVCC Launches Refreshed Athletic Brand Identity
Illinois Valley Community College announced a refreshed athletic brand on September 16, 2026 during a campus-wide launch party, featuring an updated eagle logo. The new eagle logo serves as a visual symbol of the Athletic Department’s strength, pride, and future of IVCC rooted in the Illinois Valley community.
The new IVCC Eagle identity was created through a collaboration between IVCC and UNANIMOUS, a Midwest branding agency in Lincoln, Nebraska, that specializes in mascots and school branding.
“The Eagle is more than an athletic identity. It reflects who we are as a college and what we stand for as a community,” said IVCC President Dr. Tracy Morris. “IVCC is growing and evolving, and its identity continues to grow with it. With numerous campus renovation projects completed, several more underway, and additional improvements planned, this was the right moment to refresh the Eagle, so every new sign, space and surface tells the same story.”
IVCC’s institutional logo, the purple shield and flame, will continue to be used. The institutional logo and the new Eagle logo are part of a comprehensive brand system designed especially for IVCC and each serves a clear purpose across the college.
“The new IVCC Eagle was designed with the competitive landscape in mind. It is more
defined, more commanding, and more unique,” said Cory Tomasson, athletic director
at IVCC. “It stands out on the field, on the court, and in recruiting conversations.”
The brand refresh will be a phased approach, starting with digital platforms, including the athletics website, social media, and advertising, as well as physical updates to athletic uniforms and merchandise. Updates to campus facilities will be phased in to align with operational timelines and budgets.
