Application periods for several Illinois Valley Community College’s health professions programs will open after the first of the year.

Applications for the Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) programs will open on January 19, 2027. Dental hygiene applications will be accepted through March 1, 2027, and dental assisting and CMA applications will be accepted through May 1, 2027.

The application process for practical nursing certificate and registered nursing degree programs has changed. The number of admission cycles has doubled, and the application window has a one-month deadline.

The fall admission cycle opens April 20, 2027, and closes May 20, 2027. Admission decisions will be released in June and the program begins in August 2027 after a mandatory orientation during the summer.

The spring admission cycle opens September 20, 2027, and closes October 20, 2027. Admission decisions will be released in November and the program begins in January 2028 after a mandatory orientation during the late fall semester.
