Illinois Valley Community College has several free brown bag lunch Women’s History Month events in March under the theme “Valiant Women of the Vote.”

Instructor Kimberly Radek-Hall presents “Supreme Justice & the #MeToo Movement: Women Speaking Truth to (and against) Power,” from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26 at Ottawa Center and noon to 1 p.m. Friday, March 27 in Room CTC124.

Radek-Hall will discuss Anita Hill and Christine Blasey Ford, who both testified against Supreme Court Judge nominees; the outcome of the Harvey Weinstein trial; why women often do not report sexual assault and harassment; and legislation or court decisions that have negatively affected women.

IVCC’s Women’s History Month celebration is made possible by the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, SAGE, Sigma Kappa Delta, and dedicated IVCC faculty.
