IVCC is in need of part-time instructors for campus and extension classes for day, evening, and Saturday offerings. WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION:
(All positions in this division are located on the IVCC Oglesby campus and require an Associate's Degree and/or 3 years full-time related industry experience)
Welding Classroom and Lab Instructors - needed to teach and train students! Instructors ideally need to be available for one or more classes offered in an 8- and 16-week section during mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings.
NATURAL SCIENCES AND BUSINESS:
Professional Tutors needed in Math: Bachelor's degree in Math, Math Ed or a closely
related field, and minimum 2 years teaching experience required.
Applicants should have experience working one-on-one with students
either in a tutoring setting or classroom setting. Flexibility in

HUMANITIES, FINE ARTS, AND SOCIAL SCIENCES:
Art History: Master's degree from an accredited institution in Art/Art History or Master's degree in related field with 18 graduate credits in Art History. Courses include Survey of Art History I and II and may be offered on main Oglesby campus, Ottawa Center, or at High School sites as dual credit.
English Instructor: Master's degree from an accredited institution in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or Master's degree in related field with 18 graduate credits in English. Courses include English Composition I and II and may be offered on main Oglesby campus, Ottawa Center, or at High School sites as dual credit.
Graphic Design Instructor: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in
Graphic Design, Art, Commercial Art, Digital Media, Instructional Media, Visual
Communication and three (3) years of professional experience; or Associate’s
degree from an accredited institution and six (6) years of professional
experience required. Courses may include Photoshop, Illustrator, Web Design, and Visual Communications.
Speech Instructor: Master's degree from an accredited institution in Speech/Communication or Master's degree in related field with 18 graduate credits in Speech/Communication. Courses include Fundamentals of Speech and may be offered on main Oglesby campus, Ottawa Center, or at High School sites as dual credit.
For Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructors, requirements include:
- RN with a current Illinois license
- Must have completed the IL Department of Public Health's Train the Trainer program--(available online)
- Current Health Care Provider CPR card (current AHA CPR instructor is a plus)
Dental Assisting Instructors: Licensed Dental Hygienist and/or Current CDA credential from the Dental Assisting National Board or eligibility to take the CDA certification exam, and a minimum of two years recent chair side experience in general dental practice is required. Must be a graduate of an ADA accredited Dental Assisting Program. Laboratory experience is preferred. Currently licensed dentists, dental hygienists, or dental assistants may apply. Current CPR certification is required.
