Transferring to Eureka College
in Fall 2017

This scholarship was established in 2002 and honors the memory of the Oglesby native who graduated from IVCC in 1974 and Eureka College in 1976. Steven was President of Nevada Power Co. when he died of ALS in 2001 at the age of 47.

The Steven W. Rigazio Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship awarded to one IVCC student who completes his/her second year at IVCC, graduating in May 2017 with an associate's degree, and transfers to Eureka College, in the fall 2017 semester, to pursue a baccalaureate degree.

The scholarship may be renewable for a second consecutive year of study at Eureka College, based on satisfactory progress toward a degree.

Criteria include good academic standing, good character, positive attitude, and financial need.

To apply, (1) submit a one to two-page essay answering the following questions:
* Why do you want to attend Eureka College?
* What are some extracurricular activities that have been meaningful to you?
* How would this scholarship impact your life?
* Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

And (2) request a letter of recommendation from the President, an administrator, faculty member or staff member of IVCC addressing your character and potential to succeed in your chosen field of study.
