A Place for Mom

1.     The annual scholarship award is for four students enrolled in a certificate, associates degree, bachelor's degree or graduate level program in a medical, nursing or social sciences related major. The student must be planning on pursuing a career that involves working with senior citizens. The applicant must be attending classes at an accredited college or university at the time of application.

2.     Employees of A Place for Mom and members of their immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, of such employees, are not eligible to apply.

3.     Applicants must submit all the required materials listed under “Instructions for Applicants and How to Apply”

Scholarship will be awarded to four students who submit the most compelling video as judged by a panel of senior living professionals

 Place for Mom is proud to offer a scholarship to university students interested in the fields of aging and gerontology. As North America's largest senior living referral service, we know the importance of supporting the training and education of our future senior care leaders.
This scholarship will be awarded to a citizen or a Permanent Resident of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec) who is enrolled and currently taking classes at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec), and will grant selected applicants a $1,000 financial donation for their compelling submissions on senior living.

To Apply:

1.     Email scholarship@aplaceformom.com with the following:

o    a. Your first and last name in the subject line.

o    b. Letter of introduction describing your history working or volunteering with seniors, why you're seeking a degree in your field and why you feel you would be a good candidate for this scholarship award. You must be planning on a career working with senior citizens in order to be eligible for this scholarship.

o    c. A signed copy of the Scholarship Award Agreement. The easiest way to do this is to print the PDF file, fill it out and scan it back into your computer so that you can include it in your application packet. Alternately, you can print it, fill it out and then take a clear picture of it and email that file along with your application packet.

GM Women's Retail Network

Traditional high school students, non-traditional students, and GM dealership employees, in the US or Canada, pursing academic degrees in automotive management, business, and technical certification in automotive education are encouraged to apply. A limited number of scholarships will be awarded for the 2018 academic year in amounts up to $5,000.

To be considered for a GM Women's Retail Network Drive to Succeed Scholarship, a student must meet all of the following criteria:

Eligibility:
  • Permanent Illinois address and a full-time freshman, sophomore or junior at an accredited college or university
  • Students must be willing to:
            1. Work four days at a member facility (2 days each in spring and fall)
            2. Attend the Summer Kickoff Tour on August 14 – 16, 2018
            3. Write two blog posts detailing their experiences
  • Applicants may only be awarded a GFAI Scholarship once. Previous winners who are sophomores, juniors or seniors are eligible for a $1,000 “Renewable Scholarship.”

1. Any student currently ENROLLED or ACCEPTED into a certificate or degree conferring hospital related health care sequence is eligible (such as medical schools, dental schools, nursing programs, pharmacy schools, radiology technology programs, therapy programs such as occupational/physical/speech, etc. Students in general course of studies programs (i.e. pre-med, general education courses, liberal arts, etc.) are not eligible. 
2. Applicants enrolled in an associate degree or hospital-based program will be considered their first year (such as radiology techs, nuclear medicine techs, RNs, cardiac rehab techs, etc.)

Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA)

Each year, IPPA offers scholarships to students pursuing a higher education degree (at a two or four-year institution) who have a background in the pork industry. LaSalle County Farm Bureau Foundation To be considered a candidate for our 2017 scholarship, an applicant must:

• Be enrolled in an Accredited College/University, or vocational-technical school studying Agriculture
• Be a LaSalle County Farm Bureau member (or a dependent of the member) for one full year
• Be a resident of Illinois

La Salle County Stockman's Scholarship Applicant must be a resident of LaSalle County or graduated from or will be a graduate of a high school in LaSalle County and is 17-23 years of age, and meets one of the following criteria:
Participated in livestock activities in 4-H or FFA and is pursuing higher education
or
Comes from  a background of livestock production and is pursuing higher education
or
Pursuing higher education in livestock production or animal husbandry.

Prime Medical Alert Scholarship for future Nurses Open to applicants working towards a two-year or four-year degree.  For more details click here.

1. Scholarship applications will only be reviewed if they are post-marked by the specified deadlines.
2. Scholarship applications will only be reviewed if they contain all of the required material as specified in the application.
3. After receiving your offer letter, you must accept or reject the scholarship within thirty days of receipt. If we receive no answer within the allotted time, we will select another applicant. Sending an offer letter does not guarantee the scholarship if you fail to accept within the time frame.
4. If you are selected, it is your responsibility to specify how you want the funds dispersed. Once Prime Medical Alert send the funds (based on the your preferred method), we are not responsible for lost or stolen money
