Transferability of courses can be reviewed at itransfer.org. Students are advised to see an IVCC Counselor to determine courses that fit their intended major. Availability of courses are subject to change based on availability of qualified instructors.

General Education

These courses are transferable courses under the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) and are transferable to all Illinois public universities and most other universities. These courses are at a discounted rate and tuition waivers are available for students qualifying for free or reduced lunch and tuition.

Serena High School's                      College Start Program

Seniors may apply for this program to be released from school to attend courses at Illinois Valley Community College. Transfer Academy courses are available in the afternoon at the IVCC Main Campus or Ottawa Center. These specially designated courses are at a discounted rate without lab fees and tuition waivers are available for students qualifying for free or reduced lunch and tuition. All other courses will be at full tuition plus any lab fees. Contact your high school guidance counselor to apply for this program.
