Masks Required On-campus at IVCC

Masks are required for all students, faculty, staff and visitors in classrooms, labs and common areas. The mandate applies to both the vaccinated and unvaccinated.

Immediate Health Concerns - COVID with Students, Employees

Protocol for notifying individuals of immediate concerns related to possible exposure are handled in conjunction with the health department. Exposed individuals are contacted via phone to gather information for contact tracing.  The health department will provide information regarding starting and stopping quarantine.  When there is a positive case, all potentially-exposed individuals will be contacted prior to providing information to the college community.

September 21 Vaccination Clinic

The LaSalle County Health Department is hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at IVCC 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 21. The clinic offers Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Pfizer is available for age 12 and older, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson for age 18 and older. Walk-ins or appointments are available. Schedule appointments at https://events.juvare.com/IL-IDPH/e863fa94-9ae7-452b-8162-022173f52eaa/. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Protocol

All students, faculty and staff that come to campus may request a medical or religious exemption.

SHIELD IL COVID-19 Testing

SHIELD IL COVID-19 saliva testing is offered on campus in the cafeteria:

  • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays
  • 2 to 7 p.m Wednesdays
  • 1 to 5 p.m. Thursdays

The test is free, takes approximately 10-15 minutes, and results are returned within 24 hours. Follow signage to the testing area. Please schedule your appointment by following these steps:

  1. Go to shieldilportal.pointnclick.com  
  2. Click on “Sign Up For Account”
  3. Type in the appropriate IVCC agency code: mza4zcz6-emp
  4. Click SUBMIT

After submitting, you will receive a code via text message and asked to enter that code. Then select a registration date and time. Do not eat, drink (including water), chew gum, smoke, or use tobacco products within 60 minutes prior to providing a saliva sample. Doing any of these things could produce an inconclusive result and require a re-test. Results will be posted in the patient portal. If you are symptomatic, DO NOT have a SHIELD test administered on campus. Instead, have a 15 minute rapid test administered at a pharmacy or healthcare facility. Call your primary healthcare provider for that information.

COVID-19 Questions and Concerns Form

Individuals may use the COVID-19 response form to submit questions and concerns to the COVID-19 Work Group.  A form submission may be anonymous or may include contact information for follow up.  IVCC employees may also email the COVID-19 work group at covid19workgroup@ivcc.edu.  The message will be received by all work group members; see the membership list on the work group web page.

Questions and concerns should be addressed within 24 business hours of receipt.  If identifying information is provided, a direct response will be provided.  Visit this page for a log of questions and responses.
