Driver Improvement Program (DIP)-Traffic Safety Training Course

IVCC’s Continuing Education Center offers approved courses to motorists charged with minor traffic violations in partnership with the LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam County Circuit Clerks' offices.  The four-hour course has been approved by the 10th and 13th Judicial Circuit judges and utilizes the National Corrective Training Institute’s curriculum.

LaSalle County

Courses are offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Classes are held on IVCC’s main campus in Oglesby, IL.  Contact the LaSalle County Circuit Clerk’s Traffic Division office at (815) 434-8271 for eligibility, course availability, and registration requirements. 

Bureau/Putnam Counties

Courses are offered on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Classes are held in Princeton, IL.  Contact the Bureau County Circuit Clerk’s office at (815) 872-2001 or the Putnam County Circuit Clerk’s office at (815) 925-7016 for eligibility, course availability, and registration requirements.

Graduate to Safety Program

IVCC’s Continuing Education Center is an approved provider of the “Graduate to Safety” driver remedial education course by the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office.   If a motorist 21 or under receives notice that they must take this remedial course, they must register through the LaSalle Circuit Clerk’s office at (815) 434-8271.   Graduate to Safety courses are offered on Saturday, as available, on IVCC’s main campus in Oglesby, IL.
