Back by popular demand! Travel around the world and back as we head to Milwaukee on our Jingle around the World tour! We will spend the day visiting a variety of ethnic bakeries and specialty shops well known for their delicious goods. The tour feature stops throughout the city while enjoying stories of ethnic holiday traditions that celebrate Milwaukee’s rich heritage. You will be treated to signature cookies, candies and pastries at each stop. Enjoy a taste of Italy when we visit Peter Sciortino’s Bakery known as the “best little bake shop in Milwaukee” where their Italian cookies are purchased by the pound, and handmade cannoli are available too! We will also visit Canfora bakery known for their Neapolitan cookies and Cassata cake. We will also visit National Bakery, founded in 1925 in the heart of an old Polish neighborhood by Louis Wisniewski. "National" in Louis’ native Polish language, signifies "for the people." Their tradition of quality baking has prospered over the years and attracts bakery aficionados throughout the state of Wisconsin. We will also visit Simma’s Bakery. Emigrating from Russia in 1779, Simma opened the doors to her bakery three years later to share the love and spirit of her family tradition of fine cheesecakes and pastries, unmatched anywhere in both taste and quality. Recently under new ownership, the bakery continues to use Simma’s recipes, keeping her legacy alive and flourishing. Enjoy lunch at Mader’s German restaurant, founded in 1902, one of the most well-known dining establishments in Milwaukee. You will enjoy being surrounded by the panels of original art, suits of armor dating to the 1300’s, dozens of original European woodcarvings and antiques and holiday decor. There will be many more stops along the way throughout the day! Bring a tote or canvas shopping bag to keep track of all your goodies. There will also be opportunity to shop at the locations we will be visiting. We will be sure to have lots of fun! Don’t forget to wear your Santa hat, elf stockings, ugly Christmas sweater or even your pretty Christmas sweater...all are welcome as we experience a variety of holiday customs from around the world all in one day! *Please note: there will be multiple stops throughout the day, we will be loading and unloading from the bus frequently upon arrival in Milwaukee.
