The following is Board Policy.
Establishing Competencies of Full-Time Faculty and Instructional Support Personnel: #3009
It is the policy of the Board of Trustees of Illinois Valley Community College to have the administration establish and maintain a listing of competencies for each full-time faculty and instructional support personnel.
Faculty and instructional support personnel with competencies in areas of the College other than the position they are working in may have such competencies considered during such time as it has been determined by the Board of Trustees that the College, a division, or a specific program areas will need to be reduced due to low enrollments.
It is the policy of the Board of Trustees of Illinois Valley Community College that all faculty of the College shall be evaluated by their supervisors in order to maintain that quality in instruction, other profes-sional duties, and professional conduct is maintained.
Procedures for evaluation will be developed and published in the Faculty Handbook which is shared with the Board of Trustees.
Persons to be covered by the above mentioned evaluation procedures will be: 1) tenured faculty; 2) non-tenured faculty; 3) counselors; and 4) laboratory instructors.
It is the policy of the Board of Trustees of Illinois Valley Community College that all classified, non-teaching professional and administrative staff shall be evaluated by the appropriate supervisor on an annual basis. Results of the evaluation process may correlate with the employee's level of compensation.
