IVCC offers "Electrical Wiring" this summer

Illinois Valley Community College is offering "Electrical Wiring" (ELE-1206-300) course. This class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9:05 p.m. in Room 101-D, from June 11-August 6.

"Electrical Wiring" is a two-hour credit course that will cover the skills necessary to perform most residential and light industrial wiring. Students will learn how to install and wire breaker boxes, motor controls, outlets and switches and pull wire through conduit after bending and installation. The installation of telephone and computer network wiring will also be discussed.

Necessary pre-requisites for "Electrical Wiring" are "Basic Industrial Electricity I" (ELE-1200) or "Programmable Logic Controllers I" (ELE-1204).
