Instructions for Logging into BlackBoard to Post Discussions, to Check Your Grades, and to Use Digital Dropbox

Go to http://ivcc.blackboard.com

 Click on Login. Your account has been created. Your user name is the first three letters of your last name plus the last four digits of your Social Security # and your password is the first three digits of your social security number. (If this doesn’t work, call me!!!)

 This will take you to the home page for BlackBoard. Take a few minutes to look at the screen. Click on SFC 1000 Online on the right side of the screen.

To complete a posting, click on Communication and then on Discussion Board. Click on the appropriate title. You will see other students' postings there. At this point you can either click on Add New Thread to post your response to the question or click on the title of another student's response to reply to theirs. Click Submit when you have completed your response and are ready to send it.

To see your grade, click on the Tools button on the left side. Next, click on My Grades in the Toolbox back at the opening screen.

To use Digital Dropbox, click on it under the Tools section. Click Add and then navigate to your document that you saved to your computer. Once it has been added, you must click Send in order for it to get to the instructor.
