Service Learning Assignment
The goal for this activity
is for students to complete 2 hours of some type of volunteer activity. The
guidelines for the activity are that it must be unpaid and help someone outside
of your immediate family. Some examples include are listed below. If you aren’t
sure if your activity will work, be sure to check with the instructor first.
Volunteering
at a hospital or nursing home
Helping a
neighbor or an elderly individual
Giving
blood
Volunteering
to help with grade-school age children
This is one option under your Menu of Activities option. You
will be graded for your participation and for your written summary/evaluation and
receive 10 points for the activity. The bottom of this page must be signed by
your “supervisor” in order to get credit.
I hope that you will gain something very positive and
fulfilling from this experience that goes beyond the classroom!!
