Structural Geology

Exercise 14, Problem 5:

a.  Complete the upper surface by starting at the front of the image where the dark layer meets the surface, and draw lines parallel to the two sides going all the way to the back (north) side of the block.  (see below)

b.  Measure the outcrop width on each of the three drawings as indicated above, then measure the true thickness of the bed as indicated above.

c.  Look at each diagram, why is the outcrop width so much wider on block C as compared to A & B?  (Remember this answer, it will come in handy two more times in this lab!)
