THE EDIBLE CAR CONTEST for Kids!

 

It's back... in a smaller version.

ECC for Kids Rules

1.  Cars must be built entirely from food items edible to humans.

EXAMPLES:  Car bodies have been made from cucumbers, hot dogs, ice cream cones and a loaf of bread. Wheels have been made of pinwheel pasta, cookies and Moon Pies.

2.      Three schools will participate:  Waltham, Deer Park and Tonica

3.     Schools will be divided into teams, each team may enter one car.

4.      Entries must look like cars.

5.      Entries must have at least two axles and at least three wheels, also entirely made from food items edible to humans.

6.      To be eligible for a prize, an entry must roll down a ramp approximately 3 feet long.

7.      Teams will compete for prizes on May 3, 2007.

8.   Entries will be judged in categories.

 

Competition:  Noon Thursday, May 3, Main Lobby

 

JUDGES:  Area engineers and other celebrities.

 

JUDGING CRITERIA:  Aerodynamics, design, speed, creativity and other subject or course specific criteria to be added.  In a tie, the car that tastes best to the judges will be declared the winner.  Decisions of the judges are final.
