CATALOG DESCRIPTION:  This course includes computer graphics principles as they relate to the concepts  of CAD Solid Modeling.  These principles will be applied to the latest version of SolidWORKS.  Principles include the components or a model.  Creating part files, assemblies and drawing files.  AutoCAD 3D and Inventor may also be used periodically throughout the semester.

CLASSROOM TECHNIQUES: Lecture, cooperative learning, individual and group projects.

LECTURES: Monday and Wednesday      10:00 10:50 AM
LAB:               Monday and Wednesday     10:50  11:40 AM
      

ATTENDANCE:   Attendance is required.  Roll will be taken at each lecture and lab session. Five extra credit points will be given to a student's final grade for perfect attendance. Students will be required to attend full labs, please adjust your work schedules accordingly.  If a student misses more than 5 lecture or lab periods they will be dropped from the class.

TEXT:

This section of CAD 2201 is a project based course.  There will be no formal textbook, but handouts and assigned texts will be used throughout the course.

DROP POLICY

Students wishing to drop the class will have to initiate the procedure. The instructor will not drop a student without student verification. At the semester end, if a student has not dropped and has not completed the course requirements, a grade of F will be given. Final drop date is usually about the 12th week.
