continente fino a oggi. Un italiano, Cristoforo Colombo, scoprě
l'America. Il nuovo continente fu chiamato America in onore di
un altro navigatore italiano, Amerigo Vespucci. Attraverso i
secoli l'arte, la musica, la letteratura e le scoperte dei grandi
scienziati italiani hanno avuto un'influenza profonda nello sviluppo
della civiltŕ americana. Dante, Michelangelo, Leonardo,
Galileo, Marconi, sono parte del patrimonio culturale americano come
di quello italiano.

that makes language acquisition a natural, personalized, enjoyable ,
and rewarding experience. The book, Italian is Fun,
provides all the elements for a semester course. Italian is Fun is
designed to help students attain an acceptable level of proficiency
in four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Students are asked easy-to-answer questions that require them to
speak about their daily lives, express their opinions, and supply
real information.
The process of learning a new language and getting to know
another culture can be fun, interesting, and rewarding for both
students and the instructor. Because language is culture and culture
is language, learning a new language opens the door to a new way of
thinking and perceiving the world. In the process, we discover more
