This collection of e-books and e-audiobooks through the Axis 360 platform is part of eRead Illinois and contains titles of recently published bestsellers and many titles in Spanish. eRead Illinois is a two year statewide program designed to increase access to e-books for Illinois residents and grow e-book expertise among library staff, library system staff, and Illinois residents. Initial funding for eRead Illinois was provided by a grant through the Illinois State Library. Patrons may access the cloud-based delivery across a number of devices including iPad, iPhone, Android, Windows, NOOK® and Sony ReaderTM devices, and many more. Search Axis 360

Complete published non-fiction works are included, as well as interviews, journal articles, speeches, essays, pamphlets, letters and other fugitive material. The collection will include the complete full run of the Black Panther newspaper. Browse a list in the Historical Events section and find articles on the chosen topic. The subject of “American Revolution, 1775-1783” brings together the writings of Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. Du Bois, Frederick Douglass as well as other writers.
