Hello,
I am Dr. Jerry Corcoran, President of Illinois Valley Community College, and
I’m delighted that you are interested in knowing more about our fine
college.
On behalf of the IVCC Board
of Trustees, faculty, and staff, it is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to
our website. The Illinois
Valley Community College District was established in 1924, making it the
second oldest community college in the state of

includes five goals:
- Enable all
students to identify their educational and career goals;
- Promote the value
of higher education;
- Grow and nurture
our college resources;
- Determine and
respond to technological needs; and
- Promote
understanding of diverse cultures and beliefs.
If your goal is to enroll in
college courses with the intent of earning an associate degree and possibly
a baccalaureate degree, or earning a certificate with a new skill set that
will lead to immediate employment, or if you are simply interested in taking
courses for pleasure, there is no place so close as IVCC that can take you
so far. Because we are
your community college, we have
something for everyone and we’re here to serve you!
