Jill Urban Bollis serves as the Education Program Coordinator and the Educational Psychology instructor. She currently teachers Child Growth and Development, Educational Psychology, and the Clinical Experience in Education courses. She also has taught General Psychology and PTK Leadership Development courses. She is certified to teach the Multicultural Education course as well.
As the Program Coordinator, she has formed the Education Program Advisory Council (EPAC) which consists of IVCC faculty, staff and administration; teachers, paraprofessionals and principles from local school district; ROE representative; and a representative from LaSalle Education Alliance for Special Education (LEASE). EPAC has met periodically over the last year and a half. The committee serves as a means to build relationship with all the partners in education for our community.
Also as the Education Program Coordinator, Jill has served on the work group for the state’s paraprofessional work group that developed the paraprofessional certificate/degree, assisted on the AAT degree by chairing the Educational Psychology work group, facilitated the Education Instructors work group at the Consortium for Enhancing Education in the Community College and has been trained to teach the Paraprofessional Workshop.
