Chicago Cubs - my family bleeds Cubby blue! We have spent many vacations visiting major league ballparks to watch the Cubs play. Beside Wrigley field, our trips have included: Montreal, Milwaukee (old and new ballparks), San Diego, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Detroit, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, and Baltimore. We recently added Coors Field in Denver to the list where Cub fans out-numbered Rockie fans 2-1. With one of my daughters living in Washington D.C. we enjoyed a Nationals-Cubs game last summer. Earlier in the summer we visited the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. 2007 had us going to Texas to see the Cubs and Rangers play ball. |

Washington D.C. We have been to our nation's capital several times to visit my daughter who lives out there. This picture was taken by my daughter on the one day of the year the White House opens its gardens to visitors. |

Interactive Sightseeing Map of D.C. All of our trips to DC and we still haven't seen all of the monuments and museums. Our best sightseeing trip took place at night when we didn't have to deal with the crowds. My favorite is the Roosevelt Memorial. |

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Although I dislike dirt, heat and bugs, I do love beautiful flowers. We spent a leisurely afternoon wandering through the gardens of the arboretum. |
