Audio -Visual Presentation, Journal, and Showcase (Maximum Points 40)
Assigned: Friday, March 24, 2006
As discussed and planned in class, here are the details of assignments. We will continue to fine-tune the details.
The purpose of the assignment is to create a wonderful audio - visual presentation for your audience of your impressions, facts, and pictures – and share this information with the class. You have an option to present a Power Point presentation, or a video, or a scrap book. The topic is India, and you must obtain my prior written approval for the narrowed focus of the topic. You may focus on a particular part of the country, a topic of academic interest/major, or your hobby – or all of them. Create one presentation and present it to the audience. Present and explain your presentation to the class. You will have a total of 7- 10 minutes for this.
Proofread your work for grammar and punctuation. Organize and present your work professionally and proudly. Give credit to the sources to avoid plagiarism. Rely on creativity and content.
In addition, it is important for each individual / team member to participate in the entire process of creating the presentation and presenting to the class. Let me know how well your team collaborated on the project; on the other hand, if your team members do not work well and need intervention, let me know
Power Point Presentation: With your peers, prepare and present to class a Power Point Presentation (a minimum of 10 slides per student + the title/transition slides, including your MLA header slide). Make sure each team member has access to the presentation on a CD throughout and is ready to present.
Or Scarp Book Presentation

Did you focus on one topic of your interest or on your major?
Make sure the Journal has a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. If you have different headings within the journal, bold them. You may add visuals and graphics on an additional page. Attach this sheet to the Journal.
