Use font size 12 and the MLA format of documentation for the header. Proofread your answers for correct grammar and punctuation.

1. Read and study the essay “Should U. S. Citizens Be Required to Carry National Identity Cards?” (585) and “Should Gay and Lesbian Couples Be Allowed to Adopt?” (594-595).

Write a summary of one of these essays. Bring support from the essay for your summary.  The words from the text should be enclosed in quotation marks. Rely on  rephrasing more than direct quotes. Submit one page typed response. 

2. Read, study, and take notes on Chapter Study Notes Chapter 12 Argumentation (529-554). Type ten important terms on the left side of the paper. Bold them and number them.

On the right side, add the meaning of the term, an example, and any other explanation or important information from the chapter. Use complete sentences.
