Disability Services Co-Coordinator, Part-Time
The Disability Services Co-Coordinator provides leadership and acts
as a resource to the college faculty and staff in the area of disabilities.
The person assists the coordinator to the college’s program for students
with disabilities by securing documentation, maintaining student files, and
providing day to day counseling of students with disabilities. The
Disability Services Co-coordinator assists with the academic accommodations
for those students and follows the guidelines of ADA, the Rehabilitation Act
and the Carl Perkins grant as it pertains to students with disabilities.
The Disability Services Co-Coordinator will collaborate with area high
schools and agencies and will assist students with disabilities as they
transition to IVCC and then to either employment or to a four year
university or trade school. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree
required; appropriate experience in providing services to students with
disabilities; Experienced in providing reasonable accommodations for
students with disabilities through collaborative partnerships involving
students and staff; and excellent communication and organizational skills.
Master’s Degree, special education teaching experience, and community
college education and/or work experience preferred. Please apply by
