Accounting Instructor
(Tenure Track)
IVCC anticipates filling this position for Fall 2008. Teach and
assess student learning outcomes in accounting courses and an integrated
business operations course. Develop and promote accounting curriculum
designed for both transfer courses to four-year colleges/universities and
applied degree programs. In collaboration with colleagues, be responsible
for ongoing curriculum evaluation and improvement within the context of
IVCC’s general education philosophy. Facilitate student learning outside of
the classroom through participation in student activities, college, and
community events; and assist with student recruitment. This person will
serve as the faculty advisor for Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), which
also includes the teaching of the SIFE course each semester. Completion of
Master’s degree in accounting or MBA with CPA certification from an
accredited college/university required. Teaching experience at the college
level in accounting, teaching of on-line courses, and previous experience
with Smart classroom technology preferred.
