IVCC is in need of part-time instructors for campus and extension classes for day, evening, and Saturday offerings. See qualifications legend below for the associated degree and/or experience requirements. Salary for teaching a credit course is based on the part-time faculty salary schedule. WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION:
(All positions in this division are located on the IVCC Oglesby campus and require an Associate's Degree and/or 3 years full-time related industry experience)
Welding Classroom and Lab Instructors - needed to teach and train students! Instructors ideally need to be available for one or more classes offered in an 8- and 16-week section during mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings.
ENGLISH, MATHEMATICS AND EDUCATION DIVISION:
College and developmental level English and Mathematics classes; Masters in English or Mathematics for college level, Bachelors in English or Mathematics for developmental.
For Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructors, requirements include:
- RN with a current Illinois license
- Must have completed the IL Department of Public Health's Train the Trainer program
- State approved evaluator
- Current Health Care Provider CPR card (current AHA CPR instructor is a plus)
Dental Assisting, Bachelors degree in dental hygiene or related field required. Current CDA credential from the Dental Assisting National Board or eligibility to take the CDA certificaton exam, and a minimum of two years recent chair side experience in general dental practice is required. Must be a graduate of an ADA accredited Dental Assisting Program. Currently licensed dentists or dental hygienists may apply. Current CPR certification is required.
HUMANITIES, FINE ARTS & SOCIAL SCIENCES DIVISION:
Applications are encouraged in the areas of Art, History, Music, Psychology, Sociology, and Spanish. Master's degree required in the discipline, or a related Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline.
