Part-Time Faculty

Welding Classroom and Lab Instructors
IVCC is in need of part-time Welding Classroom and Lab Instructors.  Classroom instructors teach the materials and have teaching responsibilities in the welding lab.  Lab instructor responsibilities include assisting students with welding assignments as well as preparing, assembling and removing state-of-the-art welding lab equipment and supplies.

Requirements include previous coursework and/or experience in the four main welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick and OAW) with major metals like mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and must be able to instruct students on pipe welding.  American Welding Society (AWS) certification and familiarity with AWS codes and training is highly desireable.  CWE or CWI credential and competence in advanced welding materials and practices is also preferred.

Salary for these two positions is based on the part-time faculty salary schedule.  Instructors ideally need to be available for one or more classes offered in an 8- and 16-week section during mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings.

Welding Instructors (classroom, part-time) are needed for upcoming sections.  Applicants should have a minimum of an Associate's degree in welding and/or 6000 hours or 3 years full-time related welding experience.
