IVCC Honors Program - Program Details
Honors Program admission is competitive but does not require a minimum high school GPA or ACT/SAT score; however, students with prior college credit must have a 3.5 college GPA.
Applicants are judged primarily by their Honors Program Admission Essay. For more details about how to apply to the Honors Program, please see the To Apply page.
Once admitted to the program, students must maintain a 3.5 GPA and complete the following to successfully graduate with an Honors degree:
- An Honors
Orientation Course during their first semester in the program
- Two
Honors sections of IVCC courses (may be substituted with Honors
Independent Project)
- An Honors Portfolio course during their last semester at IVCC
The below illustration shows what a typical two-year IVCC Honors Program student would experience as member of the program, though the program offers flexibility to allow for students to complete it in as few as two semesters, if necessary:
