IVCC Honors Program
Welcome to the Illinois Valley Community College Honors Program website!
If you're interested in any of the following benefits, the Honors Program is the place for you at IVCC:
- An opportunity to receive one of 14 half-time
tuition waivers available to each group of incoming Honors Program
students
- Consideration for a $750 award to the Honors
Program applicant with the best application essay and a $750 award
to the student who is judged to have the best first year in the
Honors Program, both awards courtesy of the IVCC Foundation
- A first semester, tuition-free Honors Orientation course
designed to help students identify individually relevant
educational and/or career goals and to create an Honors Plan for
pursuing their goals while in the Honors Program
- Access to Honors-sections of IVCC courses
comprised solely of fellow Honors Program students and featuring
low student-to-faculty ratios
- A tuition-free Honors Portfolio course designed to help
students demonstrate how they have pursued or achieved their
educational and/or career goals while a member of the Honors
Program
- Social and academic Honors Program events
