Course Description: An Introduction to basic DC and AC Electronics.  An introduction to basic logic gates.  Two (2) hours lecture and two (2) hours lab are needed each week.

Prerequisite: none.

 Course Objectives: Upon successfully completing this course, the student should have a basic working knowledge of the following:

    1.  Electronic Components
    2. DC rules
    3. AC rules
    4. Ohms Law
    5. Kirchoff’s Law
    6. Number systems
    7. Gates
    8. Transistors

Grading:

            90 to 100 = A                          Labs                            30%

            80 to 89 = B                            Quizzes and Tests      30%

            70 to 79 = C                            Midterm and Final     40%

            60 to 69 = D

  Attendance: The policy of Illinois Valley Community College as to absences is as follows:
