Introduction

Spring 2008

Dear Scholarship Applicant,

The following scholarships have been established through the generosity of various friends of Illinois Valley Community College: businesses, civic organizations, and individuals.  Award amounts vary, based upon investment earnings and available funds.

Some of the scholarships listed include a contact name and separate deadline date.  These scholarships often require special application procedures.  Please contact the name listed for information regarding these particular scholarships.

Scholarship Eligibility: Most scholarships are awarded on the assumption that the recipient will be enrolled full-time at IVCC (12+ credit hours each semester), unless indicated otherwise. Criteria for each scholarship varies and has been established by the donor in consultation with the Foundation.

Scholarship Notification: The IVCC Foundation will mail letters to all applicants, regarding award decisions, by the end of June 2008.

Scholarships are awarded in the spring of each year for use in the fall and/or spring semesters of the next academic year. Applications and information about the scholarships (e.g., eligibility requirements, etc.) are available by contacting the IVCC Foundation Office at 1-815-224-0551.  For the 2008-2009 school year completed scholarship applications must be received in the Foundation Office no later than 4:30 p.m. on February 29, 2008.
