NOTE: Should there be an instance where there are more than five qualified applicants, and all such applicants are substantially equally qualified, then preference will be given to the applicants who are pursuing a non-academic, four-year degree in a STEM field (Science, Techonology, Engineering, Math) or Accounting field
4. Recommendation letter is required from a high school instructor, counselor, administrator, or community member addressing student's character and potential
5. Results of ACT or SAT scores, if taken, must be submitted with scholarship application
6. Consideration will be given to qualified students who are first-generation (i.e., parents do not have a four-year college degree) and/or students with financial need

1. Student must have completed a minimum of 24 IVCC credit hours by the close of Spring 2013 semester
2. Student must have a minimum cumulative IVCC GPA of 3.50 by the close of Spring 2013 semester
3. Maximum hours cannot exceed 72 credits
4. Student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours* in Fall 2012
5. Student must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours* in Spring 2013
6. Enrolled full-time in Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semester (12 hours* minimum)
7. Will graduate and/or transfer to another institution of higher education by the close of Spring 2014
*Students who are formally accepted in the LPN or RN programs, full-time hours may vary.
NOTE: Students who previously received the 21st Century Scholars Society Award are not eligible to apply.
