English Composition 1
Technical Support
It is possible that you will run in to some problem with using the technology for the course. Technology just seems to be that way. If there is a major problem with the technology that comes up, I will make sure to contact you about it, and, until the problem is fixed, we will just have to work around it.
If you run in to a problem with the technology, please contact me. I like to know how things are going, and I can answer most questions regarding the technology used for the course. If I am unable to answer your question or fix the problem, I will get additional help from the college's Computer Services staff.
In the past, most problems that come up are relatively minor and easy to fix.
You may also contact IVCC's Computer Resource Center at (815) 224-0318 and can get technical assistance while on campus from the staff of the Center, which is the large open computer lab in D building. You can contact the Computer Resource Center about any problem with the technology, but, again, I would prefer if you attempted to contact me first. We should be able to fix the problem quickly, and it's helpful to me if I know what kinds of problems students are running in to. And, of course, you can stop by my office (A-313) during office hours.
If you have any problems with the technology, just call me at (815) 224-0338, post a message in Blackboard, or e-mail me at Randy_Rambo@ivcc.edu.
