Orientation: Conclusion
If you have read all of the earlier Web pages in this online orientation, you should have a good idea of what the course is all about.
However, this orientation is just an introduction, just enough to get you started. You will need to explore the course Web pages and practice using WebBoard, so be prepared to spend at least a few more hours becoming familiar with the course.
The assignments begin as soon as the semester starts. The first unit is called "Orientation and Introductions," and this unit is designed to help you become more familiar with the course and to allow you to meet the other students in the class. You will also need to write a short essay for this first unit, but this is the diagnostic essay, an essay that is submitted and evaluated but not graded.
I hope that this online orientation has helped you understand the course. I can't emphasize enough, though, how important it is to contact me if you run into any problems. Once again, feel free to contact me, Randy Rambo, if you have any questions. Call me at 815-224-0338 or e-mail me at Randy_Rambo@ivcc.edu.
Now, it's time for you to . . .
