Orientation: Assistance with the Course
The previous Web pages in this online orientation present a lot of important information, but it's most important that you realize that additional help is available if you need it. There is a lot to learn just to begin the course, so make sure to seek additional help if you have any questions.
The first person you should seek assistance from is me, Randy Rambo, the instructor of the course. I will be able to answer all of your questions about the course work and most of your questions about the technology. And if a technology question comes up that I cannot answer, I can pass that question on to others who can answer it.
Please contact me if you have any questions or if you need additional help. Just call me at 815-224-0338 or e-mail me at Randy_Rambo@ivcc.edu. There is a good chance that I will not be in my office when you call, but you can leave a voice-mail message. However, you are likely to get a quicker response if you send me a message in WebBoard or via e-mail.
If you are taking this course from the Illinois Valley Community College area, the college provides resources on campus that are designed to help you succeed, including the Writing Center. If you are taking this course from a distance, you should check with your local college for similar resources.
Technical assistance is available from me and from IVCC's Computer Resource Center at 815-224-0318.
There are a lot of resources that can help you succeed, but they will not do you any good if you do not take advantage of them!
