Safety and Health for Child Care Providers
This program is designed for childcare providers both in home and at
commercial buildings. The class will show the importance of a
documented safety and health program. Participants will learn to
identify hazardous household chemicals by understanding labels and
"hands-on" demonstrations. Fire prevention, types of extinguishers,
basic electrical safety and the number one injury related topic slips,
trips, and falls will be discussed. Next we will focus on the outside
of the facility covering playground equipment safety, bee's, snakes,
rodents, and other common insects, animals and poisonous plants.
