Storytelling and the Reading-Writing Connection
Within you is a storyteller waiting for the right opportunity to tell your tale. In this workshop you will discover that YOU have the skills necessary to enrich your classroom with tales both tall and true. Learn the basics of how to tell a story and present lessons that stimulate creative writing and a love of reading in the classroom.  Teachers will learn classroom tested lesson plans that help students learn story form and story grammar through the writing and telling of original tales. Although this course is designed for K-8 teachers, high school and college teachers can integrate these storytelling concepts into their curriculum as well.
