Image Heading: Creating Hotspots

Hotspots are areas in a picture that have hyperlinks created in them.  In a browser, when the mouse pointer is moved over a hotspot, it will turn into a pointing hand, indicating that a hyperlink is present.  An image may contain several hotspots, indicating several hyperlinks.

Step One 
Use the hotspot tools located in the picture toolbar to create the area in the image that you want to be linked. The tool bar is activated when a picture is selected.

Step Two
When you select a hotspot tool, your mouse will turn into a pencil.  Use the pencil to draw a shape on your image.

Step Three
After the shape is drawn, the hyperlink box will appear. Select the type of hyperlink you wish to create and click on ok.

Step Four
Repeat this process for all of the hotspots.
