Image Heading: Creating a Navigational Map

To create a navigational map in Photoshop, first open a new Photoshop file.

Step One

Open Photoshop and create a new image with the following dimensions:
  • Width: 300 pixels
  • Height: 300 pixels
  • Resolution: 72 pixels per inch
  • Mode: RGB color
  • Contents: Background Color

Step Two

Use the text tool to add a new layer that displays your text.     Text tool

Step Three

Try adding a drop shadow to the layer using the layer menu and effects and drop shadow options.

Step Four

Repeat the process for additional text layers.

Step Five

Add additional layers of graphics or buttons.

Step Six

Save the picture as a JPEG image.
