CATALOG DESCRIPTION
This course offers a project-based series of lessons to learn Adobe PhotoShop program's features and capabilities.
To complete the requirements for this course, you will need the following:
· A working knowledge of a computer and the windows operating system. You should know how to use a mouse, standard menus and commands and be able to open, close and save files.
· You will need to be able to access Adobe Photoshop CS2. Either at the college lab in LRC-D or using your own version at home or work.
· You will need to be able to access a DVD drive. Either at the college lab in LRC-D or using your own computer at home or work.
· Access to the Internet either at the college in LRC-D or at home.
· A Private Email Account

Each unit will cover several chapters in the book. During each unit you will be responsible for completing several tasks including:

Introduction Posting: This is a chance to introduce your self to the class. Tell us who you are, where you are from and why you’re taking the class. (5 pts)
Self Evaluation: Three times during the semester you will be required to e-mail me a self evaluation. (15 pts)
Final Exam: A Comprehensive final will be given at the end of the semester. (250 pts)
Portfolio: A collection of images created in class. See assignment sheet for details (275 pts)
All unit tests, exercises, postings and the portfolio must be completed and turned in to receive a passing grade in the class. All Assignments are expected to be turned in when they are due! Failure to do so could result in loss of points or failure of that assignment!
Grading Scale:
90 to 100% of the Total Points A
89 to 80% of the Total Points B
79 to 70% of the Total Points C
69 to 60% of the Total Points D
Below 59% of the Total Points F
Withdrawal
Students wishing to withdraw from the class must contact the instructor and request a withdrawal. Failure to request a withdrawal may result in a failing grade. It is the responsibility of the student to request a withdrawal.
